The block system derives from the book Spis For Livet. The system was developed by Arne Astrup, Ulla Pedersen, Søren Toubro, and Annette Vedelspang. The block system has been used in 16 years of research work at the Institute of Human Nutrition at the University of Copenhagen. Any commercial wish to use or copy the Spis for Livet concept or adding changes, can only be made, if there is a written agreement between authors, publishers, and third parties. In the Life concept, the present use is approved by the authors, and the block system is thus also subject to the general rules for Life.
